Prima scrivo in italiano...
Il software libero è una novità degli ultimi anni.
Sicuramente questa innovazione la possiamo attribuire a 2 persone: Linus Torvalds e Richard Stallman creatori del Kernel di linux (il primo) e di GNU (il secondo).
Per software libero si intende una categoria di programmi o sistemi operativi (ecc...) che rispettano le 4 libertà dell'utente:
* Libertà di eseguire il programma, per qualsiasi scopo (libertà 0).
* Libertà di studiare come funziona il programma e adattarlo alle proprie necessità (libertà 1). L'accesso al codice sorgente ne è un prerequisito.
* Libertà di ridistribuire copie in modo da aiutare il prossimo (libertà 2).
* Libertà di migliorare il programma e distribuirne pubblicamente i miglioramenti da voi apportati (e le vostre versioni modificate in genere), in modo tale che tutta la comunità ne tragga beneficio (libertà 3). L'accesso al codice sorgente ne è un prerequisito.
Purtroppo sono veramente poche le persone che ne sono a conoscenza poichè i sistemi operativi a licenza chiusa (Windows; Mac Os; Unix) non solo sono più famose ma sono anche come delle multinazionali... ASSETATI DI SOLDI...
Per questo vi invito ad usare prodotti che rispettino la nostra libertà (e le nostre tasche) come:
- Mozilla Firefox (simile ad internet explorer ma superiore)
- Open Office (Il pacchetto office ma migliore)
- Linux (sistema operativo superiore a qualsiasi altro)
- Tutti gli open Source come Scribus
Free software is a novelty in recent years.

Unfortunately only very few people are aware of them as closed systems operating license (Windows, Mac OS, Unix) are not only famous but also as corporate ... ASSET OF MONEY ...
I therefore invite you to use products that meet our freedoms (and our pockets) as:
- Mozilla Firefox (like Internet Explorer but better)
- Open Office (the office suite but better)
- Linux (operating system than any other)
- All open source like Scribus
